EPIC IS NEXTGEN DETROIT’S PREMIER ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT AND THE ULTIMATE CELEBRATION OF YOUNG JEWISH
COMMUNITY BUILDING AND
PHILANTHROPY
We’ll kick off the evening with complimentary cocktails from our top-shelf bar and hand-passed culinary creations inspired by some of our childhood favorites. In addition, members of the Ben-Gurion Society are invited to the BGS Lounge for a meet-and-greet and photo op with this year’s headlining talent, Moshe Kasher. The show begins at 9 PM in the magnificent historically registered and recently restored State Saving Bank.
NEXTGen Detroit Welcomes
MOSHE KASHER
to the EPIC stage
If you haven’t yet…meet Moshe Kasher. He’s (obviously one of us and) the author of the 2012 memoir Kasher in the Rye: The True Tale of a White Boy from Oakland Who Became a Drug Addict, Criminal, Mental Patient, and Then Turned 16. Moshe and his wife Natasha Leggero are also the creators and stars of the hysterical Netflix comedy special, The Honeymoon Stand-Up Special.
Moshe hosted his own Comedy Central talk show, Problematic with Moshe Kasher, was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics To Watch.” He’s the co-executive producer and a cast member on Another Period and has appeared on Comedy Central’s Midnight with Chris Hardwick, This Is Not Happening, Drunk History, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser (hey, we know her!) and The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. Moshe’s also had roles on Portlandia, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The League, Shameless, Maron, Garfunkel and Oates and The New Normal. He will appear on the upcoming season of The Good Place.
In addition to the cost of a ticket, a minimum donation of $100 to the Jewish Federation’s 2020 Annual Campaign is required from each EPIC guest.
Your gift will support the Jewish Federation and our 17 local and 3 international agencies that work to take care of the needs of the Jewish people and build a vibrant Jewish future here in Detroit, in Israel and around the world.
